Night Porter

Winchester | Up to £10.50 per hour Full Time

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: As a Night Porter, your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service to our guests during the night shift. You will greet guests upon arrival, assist with their check-in process, and address any queries or concerns they may have throughout their stay. Your friendly and approachable demeanor will ensure that our guests feel welcomed and well taken care of.

2. Security and Safety: Ensuring the safety and security of our guests and the hotel premises is of utmost importance. As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for monitoring the hotel’s CCTV system, conducting regular patrols, and promptly responding to any security or safety issues that may arise. Your quick thinking and ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently will be vital in maintaining a secure environment.

3. Problem Solving: The role of a Night Porter requires you to be proactive in identifying and resolving any issues that may occur during the night. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving minor maintenance problems, such as a faulty light bulb or a leaking faucet. Your resourcefulness and ability to think on your feet will be essential in ensuring a smooth operation throughout the night.

4. Night Team Support: Working closely with the Night team, you will collaborate to ensure a seamless transition between shifts. You will need to maintain effective communication with the team, providing updates on guest requests, maintenance issues, and any other relevant information. Your ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing situations will contribute to a cohesive and efficient night operation.
